About the Concert

Once audiences get a feel for new composers and music through the broad-based eclecticism of the Festival proper, they are invited to go deeper with our SPOTLIGHT series, which examines specific styles, regions, and individual composers in depth and detail.

On Sunday April 11, 2010 at 7:30PM, we are proud to present SPOTLIGHT on The New Lyricism, an evening of contemporary neo-Romantic works.

Tonight's program offers a varied selection of lyrical, directly expressive contemporary works. Featuring oustanding composers from both the jazz and contemporary classical scenes, tonight’s program will feature four phenomenal pianists, including the amazing Tatjana Rankovich, who will perform a world premiere composition by Bruce Stark, commissioned by Keys to the Future.

Come join us in the hip and vibrant Le Poisson Rouge to hear some of the city's top pianists perform some lyrical and Romantic contemporary piano works.
